The Dominican Republic keeps recording positive tourism numbers recovering from the drop in demand in early 2013. In August the nonresident passenger arrivals to the country increased by 6.47% compared to the same month in 2012.
With one week left until World Tourism Day (WTD) on 27 September, preparations are on the final stretch in the Maldives, the host of this year’s official celebrations, and in many countries around the world around the 2013 theme, “Tourism and Water: Protecting our Common Future”.
“Bon Bini” to Curacao! More Canadian visitors than ever will be saying those words as they touch down in Curacao beginning this October. That’s when the first of three airlines will begin additional flights from Toronto to Curacao. The flights have been added as demand for the destination.
Ecuador’s government will spend $660 million over the next four years to promote tourism to the country and improve tourism-related infrastructure, development and training, said Vinicio Alvarado, the country’s tourism minister.
The Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT), together with tourism businesses in this country, has been participating, at the International Tourism Fair of Latin America (FIT) to be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
