“Foodies” in search of world-class cuisine abroad can look forward to the upcoming “Amazing Taste of Thailand” and “Thailand Brand” taking place September 24 to 28 in Bangkok. Jointly organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the Department of Export Promotion, the Thai Hotels Association, the Association of Domestic Travel, and the Thai Restaurant Association, the events are intended to increase awareness of Thai cuisine worldwide while using its cuisine to advertise tourism in Thailand.
There soon will be a new option available for travel to several of the islands in the eastern Caribbean. Daily ferry service linking Barbados, St. Lucia, Trinidad, Grenada and St. Vincent is slated to start Oct. 20, said Benjamin Ross, CEO of Grenada-based BEDY Ocean Line.

The Discover Dominica Authority released a report on hotel developments on the island. On June 1, the Beau Rive Dominica celebrated its sixth anniversary with the completion of their 9th and 10th rooms. Both of the rooms are individual cottages set below the main house, where guests will have ocean views from the verandas. The cottages are the same size and design as the other guestrooms, but offer more privacy.
