CTO Appoints Taraneh Azimi as New Business Development and Marketing Manager
The Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) announced the appointment of Taraneh Azimi as its new Business Development and Marketing Manager, strengthening the organization’s leadership as it works to enhance global visibility and commercial growth for the Caribbean tourism sector.
Azimi brings more than a decade of experience in marketing, business development and communications, having worked across the travel, aviation, luxury lifestyle, spirits and hospitality industries. Her career includes leading high-impact international campaigns and forging strategic partnerships that have expanded revenue opportunities and elevated brand profiles in global markets.
CTO Secretary-General Dona Regis-Prosper highlighted Azimi’s professional track record, describing her as a leader with “innovation, vision and results.” Regis-Prosper emphasized that Azimi has managed marketing and communications strategies for globally recognized brands such as British Airways and Mount Gay Rum Distilleries, positioning her as a key asset as CTO intensifies collaborations with regional and international partners.
In her new role, Azimi will focus on enhancing the CTO brand, attracting new commercial partnerships and identifying revenue-generating opportunities. Her mandate includes expanding the Caribbean’s presence in priority global markets and strengthening engagement with both public- and private-sector stakeholders throughout the region.
Azimi holds a First-Class Honors degree in Management and Marketing from Royal Holloway, University of London. She expressed enthusiasm for joining CTO, noting her commitment to advancing initiatives that elevate the Caribbean’s presence on the global tourism stage and deliver measurable value for member countries.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Azimi is recognized for her dedication to community development and youth empowerment. She has participated in and supported grassroots initiatives in Kenya, India, the United Kingdom and Barbados, focusing on programs centered on education, community investment and leadership.
