ITB Americas Gathers Global Tourism Leaders for Inaugural Edition in Guadalajara
ITB Americas is marking a historic milestone for the tourism industry across the American continent by celebrating its inaugural edition at Expo Guadalajara in Mexico.
Organized by Messe Berlin, the landmark trade event convenes over 5,000 industry professionals representing more than 42 countries, cementing its status as the premier business-to-business networking platform for the regional market.
The event stands out for its comprehensive conference program, featuring more than 40 specialized sessions distributed across two simultaneous stages and six core thematic pillars. Operating under the guiding theme "Travel Forward: Navigate What's Next," international experts are analyzing critical topics including artificial intelligence, environmental sustainability, high-end travel trends, and emerging commercial distribution models.
Prominent speakers participating in the panels include industry leaders such as Sebastien Leitner from Cloudbeds, Cuitlahuac Gutiérrez from CANAERO, and Pierre Emile Vandoorne from Netflix, who are sharing advanced insights regarding consumer behavior shifts and modern aviation connectivity. The strategic curriculum is further supported by an International Expert Council composed of notable specialists like Enrique de la Madrid Cordero and Olivier Ponti, ensuring deep analytical focus on public policy and market intelligence.
Commercial response to the trade fair has been exceptionally strong, with exhibition space booking commitments reaching 70% well ahead of the official opening. Approximately 80% of registered participants originate from the Americas, while the remaining 20% arrive from key international markets, illustrating the broad global interest in regional tourism development.
By establishing this annual gathering, ITB Americas strengthens commercial bridges connecting North America, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean, fostering long-term collaboration and driving continuous innovation across the global travel sector.
