Jamaica is preparing for a strong winter tourism season, projecting increased arrival numbers from Canada, the U.S., Latin America, and the broader Caribbean.

Authorities are aligning capacity, marketing, and operations to support the expected surge, placing emphasis on luxury resorts, cruise arrivals, and unique local experiences.

One driver is the performance of this year’s Carnival, which saw a 15.5% increase in attendance over last year, reinforcing Jamaica’s allure for event-based travel.

The government and industry stakeholders are investing in infrastructure, safety, and promotional campaigns to ensure the destination can manage tourist volume without compromising quality.

Jamaica is also promoting community tourism, cultural experiences, and off-peak offerings to spread benefits to regions beyond the traditional hotspots.

If the surge materializes as forecasted, Jamaica could solidify its position as one of the Caribbean’s top winter-season performers.
