Love Bound for the Stars: The First Honeymoon in Space is Now a Reality

By Maria Carrasco Lloria
Who wouldn’t want to bring down the moon for their beloved? After all, love makes people do the wildest things. The good news is that for those willing to fulfill romantic fantasies of this magnitude, a journey to the stars is now possible. The Spanish travel agency specializing in honeymoons, Honimunn, has just launched the first honeymoon in space.
This innovative proposal makes the company a pioneer in space exploration for newlyweds. The luxury experience is priced at €625,000 per person for a 19-day journey, including an exclusive suborbital flight for the couple. Never has the famous scene from Titanic, where DiCaprio wanted to take Kate Blanchett to the stars, felt so real.
Space Tourism and Romantic Tourism Awaiting Marriage
The space tourism sector sees great romantic milestones as an opportunity for expansion. María Ortega, Director of Travel Design at Honimunn, shared insights about this venture: “More and more, people seek unique and personalized experiences, and space exploration offers precisely that: an experience that quite literally takes a person out of this world.”
Suborbital trips remain a highly exclusive option offered by only a few companies, such as Spain’s Honimunn. This journey includes not just the trip, but also entertainment and an overnight stay in the desert, to make the space experience even more realistic. Once beyond the atmosphere, the couple will experience zero gravity and breathtaking views of the blue planet. If one cannot bring the moon down, they might as well get closer to it.
To the Moon and Back: The Ultimate Honeymoon That Truly Proves Love
The Honimunn experience begins in Bora Bora, the first stage of an exclusive honeymoon, featuring helicopter rides, catamaran excursions, and visits to stunning private islands. A terrestrial paradise that precedes not a celestial, but a space adventure. Before the atmospheric journey, couples will stop in Los Angeles, aptly named the “City of Stars.” Here, they can explore the Hollywood Walk of Fame before beginning their personalized microgravity simulations.
Once it becomes reality that love has newlyweds floating—though not on a cloud—the journey concludes in a luxury desert retreat in Utah. While the night sky views may not compare to what they have seen, they still create an unforgettable memory of the honeymoon.
Honimunn aims to redefine the boundaries of romantic tourism, taking them beyond—to the moon, if possible.
