Turks and Caicos Government Responds to U.S. Travel Advisory

In response to the U.S. Department of State's recent Level 2 travel advisory for the Turks and Caicos Islands, local tourism officials have emphasized their commitment to ensuring visitor safety and compliance with regulations.
The advisory, issued on March 4, 2025, urges travelers to "exercise increased caution" due to crime, particularly in Providenciales, and highlights strict enforcement of firearm and ammunition laws.
Turks and Caicos' Tourism Minister, Zhavago Jolly, acknowledged the advisory, stating that while the overall assessment remains unchanged, it underscores the importance of the nation's stringent firearm regulations designed to protect both residents and visitors.
The Turks and Caicos Tourist Board reassures visitors that the destination remains one of the safest and most desirable in the Caribbean. They encourage travelers to stay informed, exercise basic precautions, and thoroughly check their luggage to avoid inadvertent issues, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience in the islands.
Travelers are advised to review the U.S. Department of State's guidelines before visiting the Turks and Caicos Islands.
