Alaska Airlines Now Flies Nonstop Between Anchorage and New York City

Just as the long days of summer embrace the state of Alaska, Alaska Airlines has launched a seasonal nonstop service between Anchorage and New York JFK. This service marks the only nonstop route between the two airports. Tickets for daily flights, available until August 19, can be purchased on alaskaair.com.
Our new nonstop route between the Big Apple and the Great Land provides New Yorkers with an easier option to experience the vast outdoor adventures, rich Alaska Native culture, wild Alaska seafood, stunning landscapes, and historical towns that Alaska offers.
"Alaskans love travel options, especially nonstop flights," said Marilyn Romano, regional vice president of Alaska for Alaska Airlines. "Our new service to New York JFK perfectly complements our flight schedule, catering to Alaskans seeking adventure in one of the world's most dynamic cities and New Yorkers eager for new experiences in our great state."
At 3,385 miles, the Anchorage-New York JFK route is the longest in our network. We are operating this service with our new 737-8 aircraft, which boasts the longest range of any plane in our fleet.
This summer, we are flying to 14 nonstop destinations from Anchorage to the Lower 48 and Hawaii, including Chicago, Denver, Honolulu, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, New York JFK, Phoenix, Portland, Salt Lake City, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, and Seattle/Everett (Paine Field).
Our guests can enjoy a premium travel experience with the most legroom in First Class and Premium Class, no change fees, multiple fare options, the most generous loyalty program with Mileage Plan, 30 global partners, and West Coast food and beverages on board. We also offer streaming-fast satellite Wi-Fi, hundreds of free movies and TV shows, and power outlets at every seat.
