Caribbean Airlines has announced the launch of a new direct route connecting Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, with Toronto, Canada. The route will begin operating in December 2025, strategically timed to capture the peak winter travel season when Caribbean destinations see a surge in demand from Canadian travelers.

The airline said the new connection is designed to strengthen ties between the Caribbean diaspora in Canada and their home countries, while also expanding leisure and business travel opportunities. Canada remains one of the top three source markets for Caribbean tourism, making this route a priority for growth.

According to Caribbean Airlines, the new service will be operated with its fleet of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, which offer improved fuel efficiency and a more comfortable passenger experience. This move also reflects the company’s commitment to sustainability and modern aviation standards.

Tourism boards in Trinidad and Tobago expect the new flight to significantly boost arrivals from Canada. Officials highlighted that increased connectivity is crucial for diversifying the local economy and supporting the hospitality sector.

Canadian tour operators have already expressed interest in packaging the new route with all-inclusive resorts, cultural festivals, and eco-tourism experiences in Trinidad and Tobago. Travel advisors believe this will further strengthen the country’s visibility in the competitive Caribbean market.

By connecting Port of Spain directly to Toronto, Caribbean Airlines is not only expanding its network but also helping to position Trinidad and Tobago as a premier destination for Canadian travelers seeking authentic Caribbean experiences.
