Cathay Pacific Expands Latin American Network with New Codeshare Routes via Madrid

Through a strategic codeshare agreement with its oneworld alliance partner, Iberia, the premium carrier is extending its reach to include Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic and Buenos Aires in Argentina, marking the first time these two nations have joined the airline’s global destination map.
In addition to the Caribbean and South American additions, the partnership introduces new codeshare connections to Fortaleza and Recife in Brazil, firmly positioning Madrid as a premier bridging hub between Asia and the Latin American market.
To support this enhanced regional integration, Cathay Pacific has simultaneously announced a substantial boost to its core transcontinental schedule. Beginning October 25, the airline will increase its direct route between Hong Kong and Madrid from four weekly flights to a full daily service.
The addition of three new weekly frequencies—operating on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays—will feature optimized evening departures from the Spanish capital, providing seamless transit options for travelers connecting from transatlantic flights.
