JetBlue officially launched its new summer seasonal service between Boston Logan International Airport and Barcelona–El Prat Airport today, further solidifying Boston as a major European gateway.

This expansion is part of the airline's broader strategy to disrupt the transatlantic market by offering its award-winning Mint premium service at a competitive price point. The route is operated with Airbus A321LR aircraft, featuring 24 Mint suites with sliding doors and the most legroom in coach of any U.S. carrier, bringing a boutique experience to the long-haul sector.

The addition of Barcelona to JetBlue’s portfolio highlights the "strong leisure demand" for European cultural hubs among New England travelers. By focusing on high-value leisure routes, JetBlue is successfully challenging legacy carriers and their traditional hub-and-spoke models.

This new service provides more direct connectivity and flexible pricing for summer vacations in the Mediterranean. As JetBlue continues to take delivery of its long-range narrowbody fleet, the airline is expected to announce further European destinations later this year.
