Turkish Airlines Expands Global Network with New Istanbul-Turin Route

Turkish Airlines, known for flying to more countries than any other airline, has further expanded its extensive network by introducing daily flights between Istanbul and Turin, starting on July 10, 2024. This addition marks the airline's ninth destination in Italy and its 349th worldwide

The inaugural flight was celebrated at Turin Airport with a ceremony attended by Turkish Airlines executives and prominent members of the Piedmontese community. This new route significantly enhances Turkish Airlines’ presence in Italy, providing passengers with direct access to Istanbul, a city famed for its rich history and dynamic business environment. Moreover, travelers can enjoy seamless connections to destinations across six continents through Turkish Airlines’ extensive global network.

Bilal Ekşi, CEO of Turkish Airlines, expressed his enthusiasm about the new route: “We are pleased to add Turin to our extensive flight network as our 349th destination. By strengthening our ties with Italy, our guests from the North West of Italy will be able to enjoy our flag carrier’s unrivalled flight network during their travels, while our passengers from around the world will have the opportunity to experience the wonders of Turin, Italy’s first historic capital, with the privilege of flying with Turkish Airlines.”

Elisabetta Oliveri, President of Turin Airport, shared her excitement as well: “We are delighted to welcome the start of this flight, which opens up new prospects for growth for Turin Airport, after two consecutive years of record-breaking traffic. The Turin-Istanbul connection also represents a new driver of development for the entire economy of the area and reconfirms the role of the airport as a strategic player in growth.”
