In a strategic expansion of its inflight entertainment (IFE) ecosystem, United Airlines officially launched a dedicated Peacock channel today across its entire fleet.

This partnership with NBCUniversal brings a library of fan-favorite series and Peacock originals to more than 160,000 seatback screens, as well as personal devices via the United app.

The initial rollout includes hit titles like The Traitors and Poker Face, with plans to introduce "first-run" content simultaneously with its ground-based streaming debut.

The launch is a mechanical necessity for United as it seeks to maintain its leadership in IFE technology and premium customer experience. By integrating a high-demand streaming brand directly into its hardware, United is moving toward a "frictionless entertainment" model that mirrors the home viewing environment.

This investment is part of a broader fleet modernization project that has already equipped over 800 aircraft with Bluetooth-enabled screens and high-speed satellite connectivity.

For the 2026 traveler, this means a more diverse and higher-quality selection of content during long-haul and domestic flights. The ability to start a series on the ground and continue it seamlessly at 35,000 feet is becoming a standard expectation for the digital-first passenger.

As United continues to bolster its library—which already includes partners like HBO Max and Apple TV—the airline is successfully turning the cabin into a competitive content hub.
