The most anticipated edition of FITUR will kick off with FITUR MICE, which brings together meeting, incentive, conference and event tourism professionals from May 17 to 19 at IFEMA MADRID. FITUR MICE will begin two days before the opening of FITUR "Tourism Recovery Special", to be held from May 19 to 23, and will offer among its various contents a strategic meeting point for supply and demand specializing in this key segment for the revitalization of the tourism industry on a global scale.

The FITUR MICE section, which, as every year, will have the collaboration of MITM Events, a company specializing in the organization of B2B events for the MICE industry, and the support of IFEMA's network of Delegations around the world, will offer its own space for holding these meetings in an exclusively professional environment aimed at establishing efficient contacts and generating business.

The meetings program offers participating exhibitors an agenda of pre-established appointments with company executives, rigorously selected on the basis of criteria that will assess the high potential for business and purchasing decisions.  And it will be complemented by a networking program made up of different social events that will allow for the expansion of contacts and the strengthening of ties between participants.

More than 2,000 appointments

FITUR MICE will begin with a reception at the Wellington Hotel, hosted by the Madrid CVB, which will kick off the current edition and welcome more than 100 participants from 21 countries. More than 2,000 pre-arranged appointments will take place during the event, in addition to those generated during the networking program. The 56 participating buyers have been selected from 435 registrations received. This select group includes event and conference organizers, incentive agencies and corporate buyers.

FITUR MICE will conclude with a closing dinner hosted by the Community of Madrid, to be held at the Hotel VP Plaza de España.

For the second year in a row, Madrid has been recognized as a benchmark destination for the organization of professional meetings. The capital has just received the Award for Best MICE Destination (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) in Europe at the first edition of the World MICE Awards.
