IMEX America Gets Underway in Las Vegas

IMEX America, the largest fair in the meeting tourism sector in the United States, will bring together more than 3,000 exhibiting companies with a large number of global buyers, making this edition one of the largest since its launch in 2011.

The event will bring together thousands of professionals at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, giving everyone in the industry an accurate picture of business volumes and projects in 2023 and beyond.

The US section of this year's show will also be the largest in history. Boston, Detroit, New York, Orlando, Philadelphia and San Diego will be among the list, and Boston is set to reveal some new direct flights to international cities in addition to upcoming hotel developments. MGM, for its part, will give an update on the remodeling of its convention center.

Global destinations from across Europe, Asia Pacific and the Middle East make significant returns to the show, many of which were unable to attend in 2021. They include Abu Dhabi, Australia, Bahamas, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Dubai, Greece, Hawaii, Ireland, Switzerland , Turkey and New Zealand. Ras Al Khaimah is among the destinations exhibiting for the first time.

North and South America are strongly represented with Brazil, Buenos Aires, Canada, Costa Rica and Ecuador among others. Panama will use IMEX America to announce the details of its new convention center, hotel openings and upcoming cruise terminal.

All major hotel groups will be in attendance, including Accor, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG Hotels & Resorts, and Marriott International.

With the event technology industry changing rapidly in recent years, attendees can discover a wide range of providers offering event platforms, chatbots, analytics and apps, among other solutions. Bizzabo, Cvent, EventMobi, ExpoPlatform, Grip, MeetingPlay + Aventri + eventcore, Eventsforce, Swapcard and Vfairs are among the exhibiting companies. The show's Tech Hub is the meeting point for the next start-ups in the sector.

The award-winning show's learning program has also been streamlined and redesigned to complement and enhance meetings on the show floor. Under the theme 'Pathways to Clarity', there will be four key points to be discussed: Respect for people and the planet; future self; Innovation and creativity; Event Planner Toolkit – Provides sessions with practical ideas and techniques to improve professional relationships and ultimately drive business recovery. The program of more than 100 sessions is completely free.

IMEX America's sustainability achievements were recently recognized at an international industry award. The Grand Prize for the Fair with the Most Commendable Green Initiatives was awarded by the Trade Show Executive (TSE) to the IMEX Group in recognition of sustainability successes at IMEX America 2021.

Last year's show was also ranked 57th in the prestigious Gold 100. This list recognizes the top trade shows held in the US based on net square footage of paid exhibit space.
