The 63rd edition of TTG Travel Experience and InOut | The Hospitality Community wrapped up at the Rimini Expo Centre in Italy, concluding three days of intense networking, strategic discussions, and business matchmaking. As the Mediterranean’s leading B2B marketplace for global tourism and hospitality, the event brought together international and Italian destinations, accommodation providers, tech innovators, and design leaders.

Organizers have already set the dates for the next gathering: October 13–15, 2027.

Growing global footprint & high-level business

Under the main theme ‘Exist’, the event was organized in collaboration with key institutional partners, including the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAECI), the Italian Trade Agency (ICE), and ENIT (Italian National Tourism Board).

This year’s edition highlighted a distinct increase in global interest:

  • A +11% increase in international exhibitors.

  • An +8% expansion in foreign exhibition areas.

  • 2,800 exhibiting brands hosted across the venue.

  • Over 1,000 top international buyers facilitating more than 15,000 scheduled business meetings and speed-dating sessions.

Data & trends: AI meets human touch

The trade show served as a major observatory for evolving industry trends, featuring exclusive research from Isnart, Nexi, Politecnico di Milano, Confturismo-FWG, and the Rapporto sul Turismo Italiano.

According to the TTG Monitor survey of trade professionals:

  • Artificial Intelligence on the Rise: 46.6% of surveyed buyers plan to adopt AI for personalized travel proposals, while 43.4% intend to use it for direct sales.

  • The Human Element Remains Core: despite digital advancements, human expertise and trust remain decisive—especially when handling unforeseen travel disruptions.

  • Top Destinations: Italy leads buyer demand (21.9%), followed by European capitals (12.8%) and Japan (9.6%).

  • Evolving Preferences: strong growth is seen in experiential, wellness, luxury, and slow travel.

  • Travel Budgets: the most common budget range for main vacations sits between €3,000 and €5,000 per person (36.6%).

Workforce & social inclusion: the heart of hospitality

Human capital was central to discussions hosted by Confindustria Alberghi, where students, industry leaders, and HR heads analyzed changing workplace expectations. The consensus: new generations demand clear career pathways, training, autonomy, and work-life balance.

Celebrating leadership in the sector, the TTG Star Awards 2026—voted on by over 6,000 industry readers—recognized Gaetano Intrieri, Marcello Mangia, Kyriaki Boulasidou, and Francesco Vitali. A Special Award was presented to Alex Toselli, President of Albergo Etico, honoring an inclusive hospitality model that has empowered 375 individuals with disabilities through professional integration.

InOut: design, accessibility, and outdoor innovations

The InOut | The Hospitality Community section focused heavily on sustainable architecture, design, and accessibility. Key highlights included:

  • Thinking Box: architects and designers toured exhibitor booths to exchange ideas directly with manufacturers.

  • Sustainable & Inclusive Design Exhibition: showcasing accessible, multi-needs space solutions.

  • Coastal & Outdoor Tourism: insights from the Italian Beach Syndicate (SIB) revealed a strong summer 2026 for coastal tourism, with overall attendance up by 2% and foreign tourist arrivals rising by 6%.
