The first PCMA Business School in Europe has been acclaimed as “fantastic and engaging’’ by delegates who took part at IMEX in Frankfurt on Monday 18 April.

Karan Spanard, from Maryada Strategies in the USA, summed up the enthusiastic views of many participants, adding: “This session has been fantastic – it has prompted me to take time out and consider what’s good about my business and what could be improved.

“It has shown me how to fully refine my ideas and go that extra step towards creating something that really fits all requirements. The timing of today’s session, coming before the show, has been perfect – I can now apply this new approach to every meeting I have scheduled at the show over the next few days! ’’

The theme was ‘The Outthinker Playbook – Devising Disruptive Strategies’ and the presenter was renowned business strategist, former McKinsey consultant and best-selling author Dr Kaihan Krippendorff. Kaihan is a recognised expert on innovation, business strategy, and creativity, a faculty member of Wharton Executive Education and an Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship and Strategy at Florida International University.

In this engaging and inspiring workshop session, Kaihan helped the audience of meetings professionals to think like an ‘outthinker’, provoking them to explore outside perspectives. They explored how to cultivate new approaches to business thinking and how to adopt a fresh “outthinker’s” approach in response to changes in business and how to solve real challenges with disruptive strategies.

Christian Selchau, from HelmsBriscoe in Turkey, commented: “This session has challenged me to think creatively rather than mechanically. It has been a great opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and try a different approach.’’

Carina Bauer, CEO of the IMEX Group, added: “The first PCMA Business School in Europe has been a wonderfully successful addition to our Education programme here in Frankfurt, following two highly acclaimed years at IMEX America. Offering such a high level of education that enables senior industry professionals to develop core business skills is an important strand of our education strategy and we were delighted to be able to partner with PCMA to achieve this.”
