The Toronto law firm Rochon Genova has been retained by certain passengers and their families affected by the crash of Delta Airlines Flight 4819 at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) on February 17, 2025. The firm will represent those who suffered injuries and other damages as a result of the accident.

The aircraft, a Delta CRJ-900 (registration N932XJ) operated by Endeavor Air, had 76 passengers and four crew members on board. The flight departed from Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport (MSP) at 11:47 am local time and crash-landed at 2:13 pm after a hard landing caused the right main landing gear to collapse. The impact led to the aircraft’s right wing shearing off, flipping over, and losing its tail before coming to rest.

Passengers and crew conducted an emergency evacuation in frigid winter conditions on runway 23. Many were taken to area hospitals, with some, including a seriously injured child, airlifted for medical attention. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident.

"Our clients suffered serious personal injuries requiring hospitalization," said Vincent Genova, head of Rochon Genova's Aviation Litigation Group. "They played a crucial role in opening a damaged emergency exit, allowing others to escape before the fire spread. We are committed to securing a fair and timely resolution for them and others seeking legal support."

With over 25 years of experience, Rochon Genova specializes in aviation litigation and class action cases, representing passengers, air carriers, manufacturers, and airports. The firm brings extensive expertise in handling complex aviation-related legal matters.
