AirTran Continues Caribbean Expansion with Flight to Aruba
AirTran Airways has released schedules for new service to Aruba. These flights will mark the airline’s fifth Caribbean destination and are in addition to recently announced service to Montego Bay, Jamaica, and Nassau, Bahamas and existing service to Cancun, Mexico, and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
AirTran will begin flights to Aruba from Atlanta on December 19, 2009, and from Orlando on February 13, 2010. The popular tourist destination will also connect to dozens of other AirTran cities. All flights to and from Aruba are subject to final government approval.
“Adding Aruba to our list of Caribbean destinations gives our customers more choices than ever when looking for an escape from winter,” said Kevin Healy, senior vice president, marketing and planning. “Dipping your toes in Caribbean sand has never been easier and we’ll get you there from Orlando just in time for the Grand Parade of Carnival.”
