AirTran Reports November Traffic Jumps 10.5 Percent

AirTran Airways reported its November results, saying that revenue passenger miles (RPMs) and available seat miles (ASMs) represent new monthly records for the month of November.

For November, traffic grew by 10.5 percent to more than 1.4 billion RPMs and the airline enplaned nearly 2 million passengers. Capacity rose 9.2 percent to 1.92 billion available seat miles, from 1.76 billion a year earlier.

Occupancy rose 0.9 percentage points to 76.7 percent. Year to date, traffic has fallen 2.5 percent to 17.05 billion revenue passenger miles. Capacity is down 3 percent to 21.32 billion available seat miles.
