Artex’s Agencies Soycubano, Paradiso Attend the 2015 Habano Festival
Artex’s Soycubano agency, an exporting company specialized in marketing and promoting cultural products and services by means of an online commercialization platform, www.mallcubano.com, is attending, just as in previous editions, in the 17th Habano Festival, by showcasing and selling products included in the Compay Segundo line, which was created to pay tribute to the popular Cuban musician and songwriter Francisco Repilado and ranges from typical Cuban pieces of cloth, like guayaberas, to such smoker-aimed items as cigar cases and humidors, ashtrays and lighters.
Paradiso, Artex’s Cultural Tourism Agency, will be offering those who attend the event, to take place at Havana’s Convention Center on Feb 23 - 27, interesting proposals of tours to Pinar del Río, Cuba’s westernmost province, thus fostering a closer approach to the Cuban tobacco realm, labeled best tobacco on the face of Earth.
Paradiso’s first proposal, named “Culture, Tobacco, Tradition” gives an opportunity to learn about the cultivation of tobacco by getting in touch with the farmers during the sowing, harvesting and hand-rolling process, complemented by a mouth-watering lunch prepared by Cuban traditional cuisine. The tour includes a visit to the tobacco farm.
The second excursion, “The Magic Touch of the Farmer”, merges the virtues of farmers and artists, cultural icons in Pinar del Rio and the world, as well as the pleasure of tasting a delicious cup of coffee and a magnificent Habano rolled in the land of the world’s finest tobacco. This proposal includes a specialized guide, visit the workshop-house of Cuban painter Pedro Pablo Oliva, the humidors workshop, tobacco wick removal area, tobacco farm and cigar factory.
