Aruba Tourism Authority to Sponsor IMG Fashion, Lifestyle Event

The Aruba Tourism Authority announced a three-year partnership with fashion event producer IMG Fashion and the Aruba Fashion Group to produce “Aruba in Style,” an annual fashion, entertainment and lifestyle event to take place in Aruba in the fall of 2011.

Aruba in Style will offer a mix of fashion shows, parties, presentations and shopping in locations around the island and bring together designers, celebrities, models, fashionable consumers to review in-season resort, ready to wear and bridal collections through intimate parties and large-scale extravaganzas. The activities will also include unique in store shopping experiences, public events and exclusive invitation-only soirees.

“We feel strongly that this new partnership with IMG and the launch of the Aruba in Style event will help to elevate the island’s reputation as a mecca for fashion and style,” said Otmar Oduber, Aruba’s minister of tourism, transportation and labor affairs. “Aruba in Style will generate increased awareness of Aruba as a chic and sophisticated vacation destination.”
