Boquete Panama Real Estate Offers Luxury Condos for Retirees
Baby boomers are retiring earlier than the previous generation, and the affordable luxury of Panama’s Vista Boquete is attracting them because it offers luxury real estate at very affordable prices.
Boquete is rapidly replacing Costa Rica and other popular Central American destinations for fun in the sun and luxury retirement, according to a recent news article in USA Today.
“People like to live in luxury condos, but they also like to get the biggest bang for their retirement buck, and they can find that here. Lots of sunny, beautiful beaches, great golf, recreation, the political climate, the lack of hurricanes, and the U.S. dollar as currency are some of the many additional attractions,” explained Chad Smalley of Vista Boquete, a luxury Panama retirement community.
The first wave of 79 million U.S. baby boomers turns 60 this year. They want a place to retire where they can have an active lifestyle, live in luxury, and avoid the rat race –all while stretching their retirement dollars as far as possible, according to USA Today.
Panama ranks number one in the world for a home away from home, according to a recent study completed by International Living.
The study selected Panama for the sixth time in a row because “it offers easy access from the U.S., its cost of living is low, the landscapes and coastlines are beautiful, its population is friendly and warmly welcomes foreign residents and investors.”
The number-one haven for retirees and those preparing for retirement is the beautiful town of Boquete, located in the highlands near Costa Rica. The coffee-growing area has been transformed in recent years, and Vista Boquete is the most sought-after real estate of all.
