The BVI Tourist Board (BVITB) has announced the return of the BVI Greeter Service for visitors entering the territory from St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands (USVI).

Launched in 2014 before it seemingly dropped off the radar, the BVI Greeter Service is a travel program designed to provide guests with assistance as needed for a seamless transfer into Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke and Anegada.

The services include accommodating guests who seek connections to taxis and ferries, as well as assisting with luggage inquiries, Customs, and Immigration.

According to the Tourist Board, the program will be in operation throughout the week between 11:30am and 5pm at the Cyril E King Airport and the Wilmoth Blyden Ferry Terminal in the US Virgin Islands, to serve guests from the “United States, South America, Canada, Europe, and the wider Caribbean”.

According to Director of Tourism at the BVITB, Sharon Flax-Mars, the program is staffed with a team of trained tourism ambassadors which will ensure visitors feel welcomed.

“Our BVI Greeter Service program is staffed with a professional team of tourism ambassadors who are trained to provide quality service, guidance, and information to guests navigating their way to our islands and cays.”

“By offering this increased level of customer service, we are able to create a level of warmth and hospitality to welcome our guests upon their entry into the Virgin Islands,” added Flax-Mars.
