Caribbean Airlines Withdraws London’s Gatwick Service

Caribbean Airlines, the official air carrier of Trinidad and Tobago will discontinue its service to London Gatwick, effective January 10, 2016.

The airline has indicated that it will assist its customers with finding alternative arrangements to/from London, and has already communicated its plans to other airlines serving the route.

Ticketed customers where both the departure and return between Port of Spain and London Gatwick (POS and LGW) is after January 10, 2016 could have a full refund or a reallocation to other services where possible.

Customers who may have further questions, or would like to consider other travel options or arrangements can contact Caribbean Airlines’ call centers for specific information.

Caribbean Airlines will continue its service to/from London Gatwick until January 10, 2016. The airline has apologized to its customers for any inconvenience caused by the impending discontinuation of the London Gatwick service, citing the costs associated with maintaining the Boeing 767 aircraft operation for its decision to cancel the London route. Instead, it will focus its limited resources to build connectivity in the North American and Caribbean markets.
