Two years after Royal Caribbean International debuted the FlowRider to the cruising world on its Freedom-class ships, passengers on Carnival Corp. lines will have a surfing simulator of their own, while in port at Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos.

Carnival Cruise Lines President and CEO Gerry Cahill showed off his moves at the grand opening of the Grand Turk Cruise Center’s FlowRider, which will be offered as a shore excursion on Carnival ships that call at the island.

Tickets will cost $24 for a 30-minute body-boarding ride and $34 for hour-long stand-up surf sessions. The Cruise Center owns the FlowRider, which is being operated by Grand Turk’s Margaritaville restaurant and bar.
