Carnival Looks to Marriott for Hotel Operations Hire

Miami-based Carnival Cruise Line has named Richard Morse its senior vice president of hotel operations.

Morse had previously spent 38 years at Marriott International, most recently serving as general manager of the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center at the National Harbor in Maryland.

Morse will be responsible for all guest-facing aspects at Carnival, from entertainment and culinary to dining and housekeeping.

He officially joins Carnival on Jan. 11, reporting to Gus Antorcha, executive vice president of guest shipboard operations at Carnival.

“Richard is the ideal candidate for this position, possessing extensive experience in all aspects of guest operations, while assembling a talented team for one of the world’s most successful hotel companies,” Antorcha said.
