Cuba’s Keys Ready for Showtime at FITCUBA 2007

Cuba’s keys are showcasing themselves as the travel destination of choice in an event that will feature Canada as the guest country, a major marketing niche for airlines flying to Cuba.

Cuba’s Tourism Fair is coming on stronger than ever in its seventh edition, this time around stretching from May 8 to 12 at the Morro-Cabana Park in Havana, and buttressing its stance as a major promotional and marketing link for the tourist product of the Caribbean’s largest island nation.

Cuba, a celebration of sunshine and sea will be the slogan presiding over the activities around FITCUBA 2007, quite in keeping with the new image the country is breaking in this year aimed at painting a more comprehensive picture of its tourist allures.

Likewise, FITCUBA 2007 is endowed with the goal of putting products from the local travel industry on the map and further extend commercial ties that got underway in some of the world’s top tourism tradeshows, coupled with master lectures and special presentations about hotel circuits, hoteliers and new products.

In addition to tour operators, incoming travel agencies and hoteliers, the fair will also be attended by representatives from major airlines, including Aerocaribbean –an important air link with a number of destinations in both Cuba and the Caribbean, like the island nation’s best-developed keys of Cayo Largo del Sur, Santa Maria, Coco and Guillermo.
