David Neeleman Cuts Ties with JetBlue

David Neeleman, founder of JetBlue Airways and chairman of the airline’s board of directors, will not be standing for re-election at the airline’s annual shareholders meeting May 15.

Neeleman recently announced plans to start a new airline based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and will be devoting his full attention to the new venture. Last May, Neeleman was replaced by Dave Barger as CEO of JetBlue.
