Excelencias Group to Promote Salvadoran Tourism

The Madrid-based Excelencias Group and Salvadoran company TOURS UNIVERSALES signed an agreement that includes the promotion, distribution and positioning of the products issued by the Spanish communication company in El Salvador, as well as the spread of news on this Central American country throughout Latin America.

The Excelencias Group has 21 years of experience under its belt and has 35 press media which are published in five languages, both digital and printed, specialized in Latin America and Caribbean tourism. Its distribution includes coverage in Iberian-America and other countries through tourism companies, hotels, airlines, restaurants, embassies, consulates, tourism offices, international fairs and the final public.

TOURS UNIVERSALES is an incoming travel agency with 14 years of operations in El Salvadoran territory, dedicated to the international promotion of tourism programs in an effort to reel in international markets.

The Central American company is connected to other countries in the region under the concept of multi-destination programs, and has a hands-on engagement in major tourism fairs attended by El Salvador, thanks in part to the direct support of the Salvadoran Tourism Corporation (CORSATUR).

The alliance between EXCELENCIAS and TOUR UNIVERSALES opens the gateways of Iberian-American markets to national tourism companies, through the promotion of their offers and the dissemination of positive and up-to-the-minute news from El Salvador, a country that has strongly focused on the travel industry as a way to boost up the local economy.

According to statistics, El Salvador doubled the number of tourism revenues between 2009-2017, reaching over $1.2 billion, a reason why a promotional and marketing plan targeting new publicity strategies was implemented.

The entrance of the Excelencias Group in the national information panorama responds to the aspiration to strengthen travel activity in the smallest country in continental America, which in 2017 was visited by more than 2.2 million foreign tourists, the highest figure ever over the past 35 years.
