Gap Year in Aruba Offers Plenty of Pursuits for UK Travelers
Those heading on a gap year around the Caribbean may not want to forget to stop off at Aruba. People looking for a destination with a difference, but which still has style, could find the island perfect for their needs. Around 15,000 Britons are expected to land on the island this year, according to the Aruba Tourism Authority.
With the popularity of Aruba increasing, individuals planning their gap years may like to check out what the island has to offer before it becomes firmly on the agenda of holidaymakers. The body suggests the Alto Vista Chapel, downtown Oranjestad museums, water sports and the Arikok National Park are just some of the activities on offer for those on gap years.
And in November a new annual event will be launched. Aruba in Style will highlight the fashion of the island, something travelers may like to take on board to learn more about the local culture.
