Glasgow to Develop Marina as Part of Waterfront Development
According to a report in Scotland’s Evening Times, Glasgow is to have its own marina as part of plans to rejuvenate the city’s Clyde Waterfront. Scottish Enterprise, the national regeneration and jobs agency, will outline plans for a 300-berth dock next to Glasgow Science Centre on the south bank of the river.
Scottish Enterprise will listen to proposals for floating restaurants or offices and “island” sites for hotels and house boats. The move is part of a $3.28 billion Clyde Waterfront development which will take place over the next three years.
