Holland America Launches Premium Shore Excursions
Holland America Line launched a new series of shore excursions called The Collections of Holland America Line. Debuting this summer on Alaska, Canada/New England and European itineraries The Collections provide nearly 500 shore excursions grouped in to four categories –the Signature, Medallion, Encore and World Wonders Collections- each with its own focus and logo.
The Medallion Collection tours provide in-depth perspective and access to events and sights not normally or readily available. They feature smaller groups and multi-day overland journeys.
Examples include a meal in Ketchikan on the Alaska Chef’s Table; the opportunity to become a dolphin trainer for a day in Puerto Vallarta; and a South America overland adventure on the Spirit of Lake Titicaca.
The Encore Collection is designed for guests who have previously visited the destination and provides tours beyond well-known attractions, each featuring hidden gems, unique perspectives and insider’s stories.
Other Encore Collection excursions: a guided exploration of the most prominent and important places of Eva Peron’s life in Buenos Aires; visits to the best tapas restaurants and bars in Barcelona; and a private boat tour of the islands of Istanbul.
The World Wonders Collection features natural treasures, architectural marvels and technical achievements. Included in this collection is an overland adventure to the Galapagos Islands and the landmarks of Quito, a flight over Antarctica, and a hike to the summit of Mauna Kea volcano in Hawaii.
Designed for independent-minded travelers, the Signature Collection’s tours allow guests to customize their excursions and to reserve private transportation like cars, minivans, Hummers, limousines or planes for transport.
