IPW 2018 Now Underway in Denver
This summer, the international travel community is descending on the Mile High City May 19-23.
U.S. Travel Association’s annual trade show, IPW, brings travel professionals from all over the world to generate networking opportunities and business meetings that otherwise wouldn't occur without a tremendous amount of travel from all of the many organizations involved.
Formerly named "International Pow Wow," IPW is in Denver, Colorado for its 50th year and is joined by 1,000 travel organizations from around the United States along with 1,300 international and domestic buyers along with media worldwide.
Overall, the convention is expected to draw more than 6,000 attendees from 73 countries. The meetings are expected to generate upward of $5 billion in future travel to the United States and an estimated $1.7 billion in international tourism revenue for Denver.
It's no surprise, then, that the host city is rolling out the proverbial red carpet with Visit Denver, Fly Denver and the Colorado Tourism Office coordinating the event and events scheduled for the Colorado Convention Center, Larimer Square, The Denver Performing Arts Complex, Mile High Stadium, Red Rocks amphitheater and various locations around the area hosting tours.
