Jamaica’s Riu Reggae Reopens after Boiler Room Blast

The Riu Reggae Hotel in Montego Bay reopened April 23, following a three-day closure due to an explosion in its boiler room on April 20 that killed one maintenance worker and injured four others.
Guests were temporarily relocated to the five other Riu properties in Jamaica as a precautionary measure. The all-inclusive, adults-only, 454-room resort opened last November.
