Jamaica Resorts Offer Series of Sports Specials

Jamaica resorts are offering specials this fall to celebrate Jamaica’s success at the IAAF World Championships in Berlin. Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort offers the 958 Sale in honor of the new 100-Meter Sprint world record of 9.58 seconds.

The 958 Sale enables guests to take advantage of a special rate of $958 for five-night all-inclusive resort stays based on double occupancy. Additional amenities include an upgrade to a Superior Room, souvenir T-shirt and a Gold Medal massage.

Couples receive two 15-minute Gold Medal massages, which can be enjoyed together in a treatment room, guestroom or beachside. The 958 Sale is valid on bookings made by Dec. 17 for travel completed by Dec. 23.

Negril Escape is offering the World Championship Deal, a fourth night free when clients book three nights. Guests who wish to spend only one, two or three nights can book The Best Time Ever rate available up to three nights for $90.58 per night, double occupancy, garden view, available for travel through Nov. 1.

Half Moon offers the Summer Break Special in celebration of Jamaica’s success at the recent IAAF World Championships in Berlin. The special includes a one category room upgrade, resort credit of $150 per room, full breakfast daily, round-trip airport transfers and children 12 years and younger stay free with daily breakfast when sharing a room with two adults. Minimum stay of four nights required. Book now through Dec. 10 for travel until Dec. 14. Rates start at $250 per room per night double occupancy.

The Hilton Kingston is celebrating Team Jamaica with two packages. The Gold Medal Holiday Special starts at $108 for a single guest with a minimum two-night stay. Each additional person is $30 per night, with a maximum of three guests per room. Children under 12 stay free when sharing a room with an adult. This package can be booked until Oct. 31 for travel Dec. 19 to Jan. 3, 2010.

Iberostar Rose Hall’s Jamaican Champions Package offers guests at the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites and Iberostar Grand Hotel Rose Hall a one category upgrade to Ocean View, as well as resort credits. Guests at the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites will receive a credit of $150 per room, and guests of Iberostar Grand Hotel Rose Hall will receive a credit of $200 per room. This package is available for bookings until Sept. 15, for travel now through April 3, 2010.

Marblue Villa Suites, located at Treasure Beach on Jamaica’s South Coast, offers the Sprint & Run deal: the first 20 callers to book a stay will receive a Jamaican flag and a bottle of Appleton Rum. Marblue is also offering special rates for a three-night stay in the Marblue Verandah Suite starting at $849 double occupancy, which includes continental breakfast, lunch plate and dinner in its award-winning restaurant.

Island Routes Luxury Adventure Tours created the Championship Jamaican Adventure. For guests that yearn to be as fast as lightning, Island Routes takes to the sky where guests race through the air on the Zipline Tranopy. Then, in honor of Jamaica’s Winter Olympic athletes, guests can pilot a Rainforest Bobsled ride and race though the jungle. Memorabilia of great moments in the country’s sporting events are displayed at the tour’s Mystic Pavilion.
