La Colmenita Enthralls El Salvador

The Culture Secretariat of El Salvador has recognized the members of La Colmenita, Patricia Wong, Marta Palacios, Jose Manuel Iglesias and Armando Alpizar, hired by the Culture Professional and Technical Service Agency, D’arte, which is managed by Cuban holding Artex S.A. Promociones Artísticas y Literarias, for the support provided to the development of childhood in that country.
The group of Cuban professionals along with the Salvadorian technical team have worked to foster culture, thus providing knowledge, love and joy to Salvadorian families in the communities that benefited from the presence of artistic workshops, performances and festivals; as expressed by Mr. Cesar Pineda, National Director of Culture Houses for the Development of Coexistence and Good Life, to the heads of D’arte and Carlos Alberto Cremata, founder La Colmenita in Cuba.
These actions, the executive said, positioned "La Colmenita El Salvador" project as one of the most successful ideas in 2016 in the field of cultural rights access policies for childhood, fostered by the government, the highest authorities of the country and Cuba’s Embassy in El Salvador.
According to the National Director of Culture Houses, the experience shared by La Colmenita has become a comprehensive strategy with the aim set on fighting violence by generating coexistence spaces and opportunities for children and teenagers. Some actions will be carried out throughout 2017, also with the participation of members of D’arte, always dreaming about a world organized from children’s point of view.
