NCL Launches Annual Freestyle Sales Event
Norwegian Cruise Line is starting 2008 off with the annual “Freestyle Resolution Sales Event.” The event features deals on cruises for both consumers and travel agents. Each week for the next seven weeks, NCL will offer a new destination and special offer, along with a chance to win a free cruise.
This week, Alaska is the featured destination and the offers include an onboard credit up to $100 per stateroom and 10 percent off per stateroom in the Suites and Villas category.
In addition, the “Freestyle Showdown” online game lets visitors challenge their friends to see who knows the most about NCL’s fleet and then enter to win a free cruise. Last year, more than 30,000 people participated. Visitors can simply register each week to be eligible to win the cruise or send a friend information on the event and be entered to win a Wii video game system by Nintendo.
For travel agents, NCL will give away up to $75,000. Agents are eligible to win a free cruise each week and can also sign up to win a weekly prize of $1,000 and can earn up to $500 in American Express gift cards by booking balcony category or above staterooms.
NCL gave agents a head start with free marketing tools, including customized web pages updated weekly with the new offers, banner ads, weekly email updates, customizable flyers and postcards that they can forward to clients, and more. The “Freestyle Resolution Sales Event” runs through the end of February.
