NCL Launches Wii Fit Aboard Ships

Norwegian Cruise Line launched Nintendo of America Inc.’s Wii Fit, a new fitness game, aboard its 12 ships for play in the atrium on two-story high video screens, on most ships, as well as other areas on board. Instruction will be led by NCL crew, trained by Nintendo, who will also facilitate contests and tournaments to encourage participation.

Wii Fit utilizes the Wii Balance Board, a new accessory that connects wirelessly to the Wii console, which serves as the centerpiece for more than 40 activities across four fitness categories: yoga, aerobics, strength training and balance games. Virtual trainers coach users through the activities and make suggestions for improvement.
