Oceania Cruises Debuts Travel Agent Support Center

Oceania Cruises is introducing a new Sales Resource Center, which redefines the traditional role of inside sales and offers a new level of service for travel agents.
The Sales Resource Center, lead by Oceania’s Director of Agency Services Bob Prieto, is comprised of five experienced account executives who will focus on new sales development, training, sales administration and general agent support.
“Our goal is to change the way the travel agency community perceives the role that an inside sales representative plays,” said Jeff Drew, the line’s senior vice president of sales. “Oceania Cruises’ new Sales Resource Center will set the new industry benchmark for service, support and innovative sales development tools for our agent partners.”
Account executives will work closely with new and mid-size agencies to help them develop their business with Oceania through training and marketing endeavors. Home-based agents are offered more resources, training and support at both the agent and host level.
The Sales Resource Center will kick off a series of “Webinar Wednesdays” that run through the end of the year. The webinars offer agents the opportunity to learn more about Oceania, agent tools and resources, and new itineraries and destinations, without having to leave the office.
“This new organizational structure allows our regional sales directors to dedicate more time to existing accounts and building new relationships, while at the same time providing agent partners with a new and unrivaled level of service and accessibility,” Drew added.
