Tourism Ireland Brings “Flavor of Ireland” Events to U.S. Cities

Tourism Ireland kicked off the St. Patrick’s Day season with a series of events across the East Coast and Midwest. Fueled by a raft of entertainers, musicians, chefs and storytellers, the Tourism Ireland “Back in the USA” road show visited Boston, New York, Chicago and Philadelphia. The “Flavor of Ireland” events in New York and Chicago attracted more than 200 media and travel professionals in each location.
Tourism Ireland also had a huge trade presence at the Boston Globe Travel Show and the Philadelphia Flower Show, as more than 25 hotels and tourism providers from across the island of Ireland made the trip.
Among those represented were Ashford Castle, Adare Manor, Dublin Tourism, The Lough Erne Golf Resort, Manor House Hotels, Ireland’s Blue Book, Park Hotel, Kenmare and B&B Ireland. Niall Gibbons, Tourism Ireland CEO, said, “Ireland is delighted to reaffirm our commitment to the U.S. market. We are very clear about the importance for us of growing the number of vacationers to Ireland from the U.S.”
