Tourism, Technology in the Limelight of WTM Latin America 2018

At the 6th edition of WTM Latin America, the world’s principal event for the Latin American travel industry, which will be getting together between April 3rd and April 5th, at the Expo Center Norte in the city of Sao Paulo, will include speakers from well-known companies such as Google and Facebook at the Inspire Theatre (the former Conference Theatre), with a capacity to hold more than 60 people.

On the topic of “Tourism in the Age of Assistance”, Aline Prado e Silva, Insights leader for the Tourism Industry in Google Brazil, will give a talk on April 3rd (Tuesday), from 4.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m., as well as on April 4th (Wednesday) from 2.30 p.m. to 3.00 p.m.

At this encounter, the executive will discuss how consumers express their needs and how to be a brand that is present in this era of transformation, in which consumers cease to look at their smartphones as devices and start to think of them as personal assistants.

On the second day of WTM Latin America, from 4.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m., the Inspire Theatre will be the setting for the presentation by Nathalia Lacava, responsible for the strategic and consultative part of the large Travel accounts on Facebook Brazil.

There are a further 14 conferences confirmed for this venue. “Having Google and Facebook with us at this edition, reinforces our idea to offer debates and talks that provide tourism professionals with true inspiration and a lot of reflections, with the result that they come out of there with some great ideas,” says Thais Del Ben, WTM Latin America’s marketing manager.
