Two New Vitolas Steal the Limelight in the Habano Festival’s Opening Night

Cuba steps back on the world spotlight with the biggest international event for lovers of the planet’s best tobacco –the Habano Festival- whose 16th edition opened officially last night at the Club Habana in the island nation’s capital.
The opening night was also the perfect setting for the presentation of Habanos S.A.’s newest vitolas: Le Hoyo de San Juan by Hoyo de Monterrey and Partagas Series D No. 6, which attendees and guests puffed on while reveling in the Cuban music performed by celebrated band Los Van Van.
Le Hoyo de San Juan by Hoyo de Monterrey is a new midsize vitola of thick ring gauge (54 x 150 mm long) added to a historic line that gets enhanced and refreshed: the Le Hoyo Series.
This vitola has been designed for those smokers with little time to wallow in the full-bodied character of Partagas as it clings to the brand’s signature taste, yet packed in a surprisingly shorter format (ring gauge 50 x 90 mm long).
By thanking the attendance of over 1,500 delegates and guests from more than 80 countries, Habanos S.A. co-presidents Walfrido Hernandez and Luis Sanchez-Arguindey Pardo de Vera also recognized the entire Cuban tobacco industry that has made the Habano Festival a dream come true, especially Tabacuba and Habanos S.A.’s Marketing Operations Division.
They also praised the experience that Habanos S.A.’s employees and executives have piled up for over twenty years, as well as the excellent articulation of the industry and the farming industry, by far the underpinnings of the company’s ongoing growth and strengthening.
