UA to Start Havana-Houston Daily Service on July 20

United Airlines plans to increase its Houston-Havana service from weekly to daily on July 20.

The airline received tentative U.S. Department of Transportation approval for the frequency expansion.

United said it would deploy either Boeing 737 aircraft or Embraer E175 United Express jets operated by Mesa Airlines.

The Houston service is the only nonstop service to Havana from the central and western United States. United also flies daily nonstop service between Newark and the Cuban capital.
