United Airlines to Add New Flights to Mexico Next Year
United Airlines is launching more new flights to Mexico, the company announced this week. United will be launching a new flight between Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport and Mazatlan, beginning Jan. 9, 2019.
The flights, which will through March 30, 2019, will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays on Embraer ERJ-175 aircraft.
The resort town of Mazatlan, which was founded in 1571, has seen growth in tourism recent years, led by the development of the Nuevo Mazatlan area, now home to two marinas and two professional golf courses. It styles itself as the only beachfront colonial town in Mexico.
United has been ramping up service from Houston of late, resuming its flights from Houston to St Thomas and adding new service from Houston to Havana, Cuba.
