Vodka, Montecristo Edmundo Forge Fruitful Alliance

Nobody was willing to miss out on the alliance between the prestigious Vodka Absolut and the Montecristo Edmundo, one of the flagship vitolas in the world of Cuban cigars, conducted as part of the activities of the 16th Habano Festival.

With glasses and food helpings laid out on the table, all attendees lived the experience of trying out different pairings between the cigar and two brand-new cocktails: the Vodka Tonic, fixed with Absolut Mandarin Tonic and garnished with a melon stick, and the Black Russian, prepared with Vodka Absolut and Khalua (coffee liquor).

Delegates also had the chance of sipping the Vodka Absolut Elyx, drunk under the so-called Nicolaska method that consists of combining the drink with a ring of lemon, ground coffee and white sugar. The exquisite combination –it harks back to the ruling time of Czar Nicolas I, who actually liked that unique blending- swept many in the audience off their feet.
