Delta Airlines is expanding its access to the Caribbean from New York JFK with daily service to Kingston, Jamaica, beginning Dec. 20, and Saturday service to Port-au-Prince, Haiti, on Dec. 22.

Caribbean regional carrier InterCaribbean Airways canceled its planned operations to St. Thomas and St. Croix, but left open the possibility of opening the routes next winter.

JetBlue is starting its fourth season of nonstop flights between Palm Springs and New York a month early this year.

As a result of Southwest Airlines’ accelerated engine fan blade inspection program, the carrier was forced to delay or outright cancel flights Sunday and Monday.

Currently, Copa operates four flights into Montego Bay and the same number into Kingston weekly, but as of July will move to seven into Montego Bay and the same four into Kingston weekly.
