REDjet, the new low-cost airline operating in the Caribbean, launched its seventh route last week, a twice-weekly (Friday and Sunday) service between Bridgetown (BGI) in Barbados and St Lucia Hewanorra (UVF) using MD80s.

TAM Airlines has launched a new menu for its international flights in 2012. The exclusive “Sabor que faz Bem” (Flavors that do you good) menu has been prepared and developed in consultation with the highly regarded Brazilian chef, Bel Coelho.

Delta Air Lines said that it plans to use its new New York hub at LaGuardia Airport to add more than 100 flights to 29 new destinations. Delta has more capacity out of LaGuardia thanks to a slot exchange of takeoff and landing rights at LaGuardia and Reagan National Airport.

JetBlue Airways is celebrating inaugural service to the U.S. Virgin Islands with twice-daily flights between San Juan's Luis Munoz Marin International Airport (SJU) and St. Thomas International Airport (STT) and once-daily flights between San Juan and St. Croix International Airport (STX).
