Frontier Airlines is offering low fares for travel between June 1 and June 14. Fares start at $59 one way. Tickets must be purchased by May 23. Some sample fares: Salt Lake-Denver, $59; Milwaukee-New Orleans, $93; and Kansas City-New York/LGA, $139.

COPA Airlines is already exploring the possibility of increasing the number of weekly flights to the Bahamas, although the airline is still weeks away from its inaugural flight to Nassau from Panama City. 

New York's hometown airline, JetBlue Airways, announced plans to expand its award-winning service and in-flight experience to its fifth destination in the Dominican Republic and its 67th BlueCity with the addition of La Romana, subject to receipt of government approval.

On May 31, 2011, 34 Italian-based Travel Agents will arrive in Freeport aboard the Blue Panorama Airlines Boeing 767 Jet from Milan, Italy as part of the Alpitours charter program. The program, now in its second year, has been extended by an additional eight weeks to a total of 14 weeks this year. It is expected to deliver approximately 1500 vacationers, arriving 10:30 p.m. on Tuesdays over fifteen flight rotations through September 6th, 2011.

US Airways is beginning daily seasonal service between its hub at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, and Madrid and Dublin. The new flights will operate through Sept. 30 and will complement US Airways’ daily nonstop service to both cities from Philadelphia, the airline’s international gateway.

Even as REDjet took off from Barbados with its first plane load of passengers yesterday, it appeared that it was experiencing some turbulence in another one of its markets. The airline has informed customers who were planning to travel to Jamaica this week and next week that their flights have been cancelled.
