Apple Vacations announces new exclusive vacation flights to Punta Cana from Dallas-Ft. Worth. Nonstop flights on Sun Country to Punta Cana depart Sun. and Thurs. mornings, operating June 2 – Aug 11, 2011.

Lufthansa announced today that it will be the first airline to offer scheduled Airbus A380 service to Miami with daily flights between Frankfurt, Germany, and Miami beginning on June 10.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will launch thrice-weekly service to Jose Marti International Airport in Cuba from Amsterdam starting 31 October. Cuba will then become KLM’s 68th intercontinental destination. The flights to Cuba will be operated on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, departing from Schiphol at 13:15 hours and arriving in Havana at 17:45 hours.

On March 17, 2011, Mexico’s low-cost carrier Volaris introduced service between Mexico City’s Benito Juarez International Airport and Oakland International Airport. The company will launch the new service beginning May 6 with daily flights

JetBlue is adding more summer flights from New York JFK to Barbados with twice daily non-stop service for the period July 14 through Aug. 29, just in time for the island's sizzling summer festivities, including the annual Crop Over Festival.

British Airways (BA), American Airlines and Iberia said they will deliver more benefits to customers as schedules are coordinated across the North Atlantic and more destinations are launched in summer 2011. Effective March 27, American and BA created a transatlantic shuttle service between the top U.S.-U.K. routes by aligning the timing on their schedules.
